Beethoven’s “Tempest” - Kempff

Wilhelm Kempff’s recording of the 3rd movement of the “Tempest” Sonata is one my favorites. Kempff takes a steadier tempo than most others, but doesn’t sacrifice any momentum or drama. I think I like this recording the most out of the ones I’ve heard because of his tone — full and strong but not harsh at all.
